THIS IS MY STORY

 

I found out about Mend (now WEND) through World Vision back in 2007. I have loved sewing and working with these women at WEND AFRICA, and my favorite thing to make is backpacks. I especially enjoy my job because I get to put my kids through school and give them some of the opportunities I didn't get when I was young.

The war in Uganda was hard on my family and me because it interrupted my education, and I was never able to finish school. One of the most difficult parts for me was when my dad got shot and killed during the war. I always dreamed of being a doctor, but know that the Lord has put WEND in my life for a reason. I want to work hard at my job so that I can provide for my 3 beautiful daughters- Jovia, Angel, and Sandra.
